About Miss Jules Melts & Crafts

 Miss Jules Melts & Crafts began in January 2021 during the COVID pandemic, when I was looking for wax melts with a stronger, longer-lasting fragrance than I could find on the market.

At the time, I owned a nail and beauty salon, and making wax melts started as a hobby. I spent countless hours researching, testing and perfecting my recipes, learning from every success and every mistake. Before long, my family and friends were asking me to make them too, and what started as a personal passion quickly grew into something much bigger.

As demand increased, I began selling through Facebook, Etsy and eBay, making products in a small room above my salon. The business continued to grow, and I reached a point where I had to make a difficult decision—continue in the beauty industry or follow my dream of building Miss Jules Melts.

I chose to follow my passion.

After moving to Dinnington, I soon outgrew my workshop, and in May 2024 I achieved a lifelong dream by opening my very own shop on Dinnington High Street, complete with a retail space at the front and a dedicated workshop behind where many of our products are lovingly made.

What makes me especially proud is that Miss Jules Melts has been built from the ground up without outside funding or investment. Every step of the journey has been achieved through hard work, determination and the incredible support of our customers. Five years on, the business continues to grow, welcoming customers both online and in store.

Today, Miss Jules Melts & Crafts offers 60 beautiful fragrances, all our products made by hand and, in many cases, custom products created while you wait in our shop.

My name is Julie Marie Schofield. Miss Jules Melts & Crafts was born from a lockdown hobby, a way to pass the time and keep creativity flowing until I could return to my job as a beauty therapist. Once back at work, I found myself missing my little side hustle, which has now evolved into a career focused on eco-friendly candles and home fragrance products. We are in our 5th year now, and I still possess that same passion and drive for creating natural soy wax products. Our customer retention rate leaves me humbled and incredibly proud. Here’s to another 5 years!
